Portland 3 Bays Marathon Relay
Bolwarra Primary School is proud to be a consistent and enthusiastic participant in the annual 3 Bays Marathon Relay. This much-loved community event is a highlight of our school calendar and a wonderful opportunity for students to be part of a major sporting festival.
The relay follows the full 42km marathon course, with students working together to complete the distance. Our students proudly take part in the +8-person relay, sharing the challenge and supporting one another every step of the way. Each child runs a distance that suits their individual ability, ensuring the experience is both achievable and enjoyable for everyone.
Students from Prep to Grade 6 have the opportunity to participate, making it a truly whole-school team event. The relay format encourages cooperation, perseverance, and school spirit, as students cheer each other on and celebrate their shared achievement at the finish line.
The 3 Bays Marathon Relay is a fantastic team-building opportunity for our students. It promotes fitness, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging. Most importantly, it is an event that is thoroughly enjoyed by all participants, creating lasting memories and strengthening friendships across year levels.
Bolwarra Primary School looks forward to continuing our proud tradition of involvement in this wonderful community event for many years to come.
Portland Upwelling Festival Parade
Every year, Bolwarra Primary School proudly takes part in the Portland community’s Upwelling Festival. During art lessons, students create vibrant, sea-themed artworks that celebrate creativity and community spirit. On parade morning, many students volunteer to meet Bolwarra staff and join the parade, helping to kick off the festival with colour, energy, and excitement.
